Cathy Abraham, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Cathy earned her Master's Degree in Counseling Education from Virginia Tech and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She previously worked in the public school system as a school counselor in all grade levels. She also worked as a Parent Education Specialist with the Children's Advocacy Center. Her areas of education and training are with parent-child relationships, adolescent issues, divorce and separation co-parenting, helping children of divorce, PTSD including sexual and physical abuse, anger management, and depression.
Cathy has special interest and training with the treatment of children with emotional and behavioral symptoms/ disorders as they relate to early exposure to trauma. In addition, she has specific training with the developmental processes associated with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) and other forms of malattachment which are often present in families going through the adoption or foster care process.
Cathy is an active member of Bonsack Baptist.
