Chrissy McArdle has a Bachelor’s degree is in Recreation Management from the University of Maine at Machias. She received another Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Substance Abuse from Kaplan University and just recently received a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Capella University. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, ADHD, OCD, ODD, Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Personality Disorders, Grief/Loss, Addictions, Anger Management, Trauma, and Substance Abuse. She works with individuals as well as couples, and families.
Most of her training deals with working systemically, not just looking at the identified patient, but also the other individuals who are involved in that person’s life. She strongly believes that when working with the entire family system people start to make sense of their lives and experiences and are able to piece together what it means in the present.
