He approaches therapy with the perspective that his clients bring many abilities, insights, and stories of success. In working with clients, Scott uses an integrative family systems approach to assist individuals and families in crafting new life stories and relationships, with themselves and others- ones that they prefer and that take into account all that has come before and all that will come after. His approach to counseling can be characterized as big picture/system focused, practical, strategic, playful, and coaching in style- designed to solve complex problems in a collaborative fashion in the shortest amount of time possible.
