Dr. David Wiggins is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience providing individual, group, marital, and family counseling. Specializing in working with adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dr. Wiggins has led numerous psycho-educational and support groups addressing ADHD, trauma, and chronic health conditions. He holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech, with a dissertation focused on the impact of psycho-educational groups on adults with ADHD. Dr. Wiggins’s clinical and research interests include student retention, learning disabilities, team building, and adult ADHD. In addition to maintaining a private practice since 2007, he has served in various academic and clinical roles, including counseling positions at Ferrum College and Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Wiggins is a published author and has delivered a wide range of presentations on mental health topics, contributing to the field through both scholarship and community engagement.
