Amy has been in the counseling profession since 1981. She has a broad range and depth of experience. She started her career as a crisis counselor and has worked in both the public and private sectors of mental health counseling.

Amy strongly believes in the art of effective listening and uses the qualities of warmth, empathy, and positive regard to help clients help themselves get to a “better place” in their lives. She is a strong proponent of life balance in these areas: spiritual, emotional, intellectual, recreational, social, family, and close others, physical, school, and work.

After nearly 40 years in the counseling profession, Amy continues to greatly enjoy seeing clients work hard in the counseling process and improve their lives. She considers it a great honor and privilege to be in the counseling profession. She looks forward to working with you.
