Tayonna completed her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling through Capella University (2016) and is a Resident Counselor under Devann Brown, LPC. Tayonna uses a whole-body, person center approach with her clients to develop trust, openness, and honesty which promotes growth.

Tayonna utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Play Therapy, Narrative, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness-based therapies along with Behavioral approaches. She has experiences with a host of ages and populations including but not limited to individuals who face challenges with self-esteem, depression/anxiety, appropriate coping, and behavior outburst. She often works with clients to establish trust, compassion, communication, boundaries, coping skills and just completing daily living tasks. Doing this helps to build/cultivate purpose, confidence, self-awareness.

Tayonna will work with you to realize your abilities in a way that best enhances your positive characteristics.
